FitBF

Sorry I haven't blogged much lately, its been a busy week!  I have lots of pictures to share though, and we are having a family dinner Sunday to celebrate Maddie turning three months so I promise to put a full update on here after the weekend!

1.   My favorite daily responsibility is,
looking through and signing off on Kiley's school stuff from the day. It makes me so proud to see how well she is doing.

2.  My least favorite daily responsibility is,    cleaning. It's terrible to admit, but I really hate deep cleaning. If I had the money, I would definitely hire someone to clean for me.

3.  My favorite cuisine to eat when going out is  Mexican. My homemade Tex-Mex just cannot compare to what I can get in a restaurant.

4.  My favorite cuisine to prepare at home is     Italian, not only is it inexpensive, you can be so creative with basic pantry items

5.  Andy Warhol said that everyone is famous for 15 minutes. My claim to fame is  umm...I realy, truly don't know. Maybe my 15 minutes hasn't happened yet!

6.  If I could have 3 wishes I would wish  to be able to stay at home, to own a lakehouse with a pontoon and jet ski, and to have a beautiful house on about half an acre with a fenced in backyard.

7.  My biggest pet peeve is  oh gosh, there are so many. Ok, people who take forever to get to the point in phone conversations, and people who can't understand the proper uses of too vs to, their vs they're, your vs you're, and the like.

Family Movie Night

It was a beautiful Saturday here in Nashville yesterday, or so I hear. I was stuck inside the pharmacy for 8.5 hours of it, ugh! But, today is supposed to be gorgeous too, and we're going to the park to see Bill, Jill, Kayla, and Cason. Hopefully I'll be able to finally get some pics of the babies together.
Even though I did spend most of my Saturday at work, I still had a fantastic night with my family. I got home around 6:30 and made a "16 minute meal" recipe I got from the Pioneer Woman....Bowtie Lasagna. Side note: I didn't have bowties, so I used macaroni noodles, and it was still delicious! I think this would work well with any type of short pasta.  This is the second Pioneer Woman recipe I've made, and I'm definitely a fan. They're yummy and don't require a lot of fancy ingredients that you wouldn't usually have in your house.
After dinner, we did movie night with the girls. We've had ET recorded for over a month now, so we watched that, and Kiley LOVED it! She laughed, she cried...it was a hit. I liked it too-much more than I did when I was a kid (it scared the living daylights out of me back then).  This was the first successful whole family movie night we've had since Maddie was born. Yesterday we switched her to 5 ounces per bottle, and she seems a whole lot happier and is demanding to be fed a lot less. Definitely a good move.

Fill in the Blank Friday!

1.   Something that makes me a great friend is,      I am really dedicated. Once I consider you a "true" friend I will do almost anything for you.

2.  I am  frequently impatient, a baking fanatic (esp. anything with chocolate, a decent pharmacy tech, and an internet addict.

3.  I am not   good with the general public, good  at being lazy, patient.

4.  If I had to describe myself in 3 words, they would be     silly, honest, and introverted.

5.  Something I'm really cheap about is     clothing for myself. I am the worst about going into stores, finding something I like, walking around with it for about 30 minutes then putting it back.

6.  Something I'm willing to splurge on is      anything for my girls!!!!

7.  I would trade      all my purses to be able to stay home with Maddie everyday  in a heartbeat.

Tuesday, April 5, 2011

What a wonderful Tuesday it' been! Of course, I'm so exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open now, but it was worth it. Casey is still sick, so I got to take Kiley to school this morning-a rare treat for me. Then I spent the day just playing with Madelyn. She's getting so big and so cute. She's really starting to interact with us when we play with her.
So, after a fun day at home with Maddie I headed out to Norman Binkley to pick Kiley up from school and took her out for a fun surprise-a trip to Sparkle Cupcakes! We'd never made it out there before, but today they had a $1 cupcake sale and they were delicious! We will definitely be taking more trips out there.
So after our fun afternoon we came home and did homework (as usual, Kiley amazed me with her intelligence) and played and relaxed. I was feeling kind of lazy so instead of cooking up a big meal I made breakfast for dinner-french toast, fried eggs, and sausage. Yum! Kiley and I love breakfast for dinner.
Now, though, I'm absolutely exhausted, and Maddie is not wanting to sleep. Looks like its going to be a long night for me. Last night she actually slept in her crib for 3 hours...it was pretty blissful, I won't lie. I'm thinking I am not going to try it again tonight though. I just want sleep!

Hopefully Casey will be feeling better tomorrow night when I leave him at home with the girls....fingers crossed, prayers going up!

Just another manic Monday

What a day!!! Casey woke up this morning feeling sick but went on to work anyway...only to find out he had a fever around lunchtime. Right after he sent me that message we started getting hit with severe storms and tornado warnings, which I hate under the best circumstances. Today though, Kiley and Casey were at school, Maddie was at home with my parents, and I was at work. Hated being split up during such bad weather!
Thankfully my parents stayed at my house until I got home from work so Casey could rest and (hopefully) not infect the girls. Also last night I made The Pioneer Woman's meatloaf (AMAZING!!!!)to cook today so thankfully I didn't have to worry about making dinner. Ever since I got home I've been in a whirlwind of taking care of the girls and getting all of Kiley's stuff ready for lunch tomorrow and poor Casey has just been passed out on the couch.
I hope he's feeling better soon!

Today was my third full day at work and Maddie was so happy to see me when I got home. Makes my heart just lift after a long day of nothing but prescriptions :)

Hope everybody had a fabulous Monday and here's to a wonderful week!

Kiley loves reading to Maddie

Fill in the Blank Friday!

Trying a little game I found for bloggers, every Friday I'll fill in the blanks they provide! This is an April Fool's edition

1. The best prank I ever pulled was.... freshman year of college I called my mom on April Fool's day and told her I was engaged to my boyfriend at the time...a guy she had never even met! That's actually probably the only real "prank" I've ever pulled.

2. The best prank ever pulled on me was...hmmm. I'm not sure? I can't think of a prank that's been pulled on me off the top of my head right now. I'll get back with you if I can remember one!

3. A day without hugs from my girls is a day wasted!

4. The most important things in life are family, family, and family!

5. I dream of owning a house with a yard, getting to stay at home full-time my girls, and vacations. Lots of vacations :)

6. I dread work (even though I do love most of my coworkers), cleaning the bathrooms (my least favorite chore), and the day of the month my car payment is due!

7. A discovery I made this week was I still remember how to the important parts of my job! Yay me!

Happy Friday everyone!

Hope your weekend is as beautiful as ours have been lately!
